Looks like the malls are coming back with some stores opening as soon as soon as Tuesday. Halifax Shopping Centre gave tenants a plan of what the new normal would be and Mic Mac sent a letter to their tenants reminding the mall is still open and they are expected to be as well. No confirmation but from what I have heard from various staff it sounds like we can expect at 50% or more of mall to be open by June 1. It’s easy to expect we will see the same form the shopping parks as well

Serpent Brewing will be opening their belgium style brewery and taproom on the back side of the Canadian Tire in Spryfield late this summer.

Ol’ Biddy’s Brewhouse opened at 111 Cobequid Rd in Lower Sackville this weekend. The new brewery has pre-order pickup for cans.

Creative Cup Cafe opens for the first time on Sunday for takeout. You can find them on the corner of Gottingen and Almon

Well not the opening they hoped for but Propeller Brewing Co has opened their new location on Quinpool (at Vernon) for bottle and can sales. The Taproom will follow when restrictions allow

Halifax ReTales Closed

Cunard Street eatery Studio East are saying they won’t be reopening post pandemic.

Mary Brown’s won’t bee reopening their location in Woodside that location has permanently closed.

Water & Bone the off Agricola Street ramen shop has decided they won’t be reopening. Sad to see what has become a go to for the neighbourhood disappear.
