Mic Mac continues to lose stores, Nine West has started a liquidation, and after 33 years, the Mic Mac Smoke Shop is closing. GNC also closed its doors last week. In addition, Sunrise Records is currently closed but they will be opening in new mall location next month.

NS Health Authority pulling Tim Hortons in Central Zone facilities close April 30. This affects the locations in the Infirmary and Victoria General. It also means the end of Pizza Pizza at the VG as the end their partnership with Compass for food services. New in-house food outlets will replace them. The Tims in IWK and Cobequid are unaffected.

Wicker Emporium in Bedford Common is closing.



Atlantic Playland has a new name Atlantic Splash Adventure and will have six new waterslides when they open for the season in late June.

Kitchen Door Catering is moving to Dartmouth they are building a new facility on Higney Dr just above where the new Sobeys Express/Shell is on the hill with IKEA. Looks like InstaCart is gearing up to roll out in Halifax this year, they have already partnered with Loblaws brands in Vancouver and Toronto to offer same day home delivery. So far, it has had a program where you pay $99 /year and get free delivery on $35 or over orders ($3.99-$7.99 per delivery for non-subscribers). All transactions have +7.5% service fee.
Meanwhile, Sobeys has partnered with Ocado and is in works to add online shopping with click and collect and delivery options available
