A new Asian store Sunny Fresh Market replacing what was Loong 7 at the Nine Mile Roundabout in Bedford.


After over a decade and two different homes on Portland Street, The Bike Pedaler is leaving Downtown Dartmouth on Christmas Eve.

In a social media post “While it has not been an easy decision – it is a simple one. Marc and his family moved to the South Shore last summer during the beginnings of the housing crisis. Between the commute (60,000 km in 15 months), fuel costs, inflation, as well as time away from a new property and family; it is time to simplify.” The business will continue on a smaller scale on the South Shore


The newest location of Harvest is now open in Bayers Lake at 120 Susie Lake Cres.. Harvest also has locations lined up for Amherst, Charlottetown, Wolfville and two in Moncton.

There is now a cupcake shop now open in the back of Mothers Pizza (Agricola/Young) called Daddy’s

I missed putting it my update a few weeks back when it happened but, Xaymaca Seafood Caribbean Cuisine, is now open on Waverley Rd


Still looking at a spring opening but Denny’s has begun the hiring process for their forthcoming location beside Dartmouth Crossing

Serpent Brewing in Spryfield now has a kitchen called Spryfood.

At 1475 Bedford Highway, the former Sakura Sushi, is now Sushi Maru. While, the former May Garden is now Blue Sapphire Indian.

Slow on this one, but the folks from Noble Grape opened BrewHQ in Burnside. They opened their doors about half a year ago but just celebrated their Grand Opening.
The idea is to give customers the same brewing experience as larger-scale breweries have — creating beers from grain, but at home. They are selling Grainfather 30L and 70L brew systems as opposed to a typical brewery 600L batches. They have hands-on training to help you get up to speed and in a fun environment.”
