And recently opened at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Halifax Airport. They also have locations in Toronto and St. John’s in other Magna owned hotels.

A couple of corner store notes. Pole Star Convenience is open in the building on the corner of Lower Water and Morris, they have an Asian angle with some international treats and bubble tea. JB Convenience has opened at 590 Portland by McD’s
A women’s clothing store called Freddy’s Fashions has opened in Park Lane in the street front location
The Sushi Jet on Spring Garden has moved a few blocks away to 1577 South Park
Miel et Beurre Breakfast Bistro and Cake Shop (formerly inside Caribbean Bliss) is now open in their standalone home on Gladstone near Almon
For all those that were concerned about the Nespresso kiosk in HSC it is now back to full operation.
Cafe Chianti has closed their Barrington Street location (which they refer to on their website as their original location, what about the 19 years on South?) and will be reopening in part of what used to be the Seaport Market
In 2019, before the pandemic, I recorded 184 openings and 122 closures.
In 2020, I saw 169 openings versus 139 closures,
with 188 openings this year and only 88 closures.
