Chimney's Cafe is opening in a couple weeks in the former Smiling Goat across from the Halifax Central Library, and yes they will have chimney cakes in compliment to a coffee shop


Morris East has opened their third location on Vernon St (@ Quinpool) it has a more casual feel, like a quick serve area with slices, soft serve gelato (pictured above)  and beer taps.

Syrian Meat Shop and grocery has opened on Gladstone Street tucked in just behind the Almon Street Legion


Charlottetown's Hopyard has brought the beer bar and record shop concept to Gottingen Street. The menu is full of street food style goodies like burgers, sugar shack fries, tater tot poutine and more. You can find them across from Global TV

Elwood Pens
, a handmade wooden pen shop is now open on Argyle Street above Dharma Sushi

The highly anticipated fourth location of Cha Baa Thai has open on Demone Street across from Lion's Head Tavern

Connected Coffee has opened in the departures area of the airport, this cafe will have a focus on Nova Scotia product


Goodies will be closing their Burnside thrift shop and two Bedford books shops at the end of the month.
