It appears a bar is going in the base of Purdy’s Wharf Tower I  “Purdy’s Wharf – On The Pier.”

Bay-B Boutique is now open Downtown Dartmouth on Portland St.

A Montreal-style bagel shop is opening on Wyse Rd. in the small strip mall directly beside the Halifax-bound bridge tolls.

A proper cocktail bar is going in above Just Us at Kings Wharf it is expected to open later this summer.

Booster Juice at Downsview is now open.

Sweet & Tears tea house, is now open on Spring Garden near Queen, serving Asian deserts and ramen.

A Taste of Home (Newfoundland Store) in Sackville has closed.

Showtime Variety on Windsor St. closed, interesting as Tony’s Variety about two blocks away also closed.

edit reopened: Wong’s Wok is on Bedford Highway has closed, nothing seems to last in the converted hotel.

Backoos on Birmingham is closed for renovations, but in the meantime, they will deliver from Bedford location to the peninsula.

Superstore has started installing brass bells on the wall that say “Ring If You Had Great Customer Service” Then when someone rings the bell the staff is supposed to stop yell out thank you and applaud. (not a fan)
