What is happening at the former Hoagie’s/Quincy’s/Athens  on Quinpool?

Neighbouring Quinns Arms is opening a brewpub called The Brewery by Quinns.

British Pride Bakery is opening at 201 Chain Lake Dr.  (the same plaza as Giant Tiger) Specializing in British baked goods, their website boasts 30 varieties of savoury pies.  Butchery and British grocery imports. They already have five locations in Southern Ontario but this is the first outside that area.

EFES Turkish cuisine is opening location two on the Bedford Highway across from The Esquire 

Opens

Pane e Circo the deli/cafe from the Bertossi Group has opened location two in the Doyle beside Lululemon (where Spring Garden/Queen/Doyle meet)

KSD Hair and Beauty Supply has opened at 94 Portland St. in Dartmouth. “Your number one stop for all your hair care, cosmetic and skin care needs. Looking for great hair at an affordable price. Come check out our selection of weaves, wigs and braiding hair.”

Updates

Construction has begun on the strip mall at the corner of the Beaver Bank  Extension and Sackville Drive, and yes Starbucks will be a tenant.

Side Hustle Snack Bar will be back open in time for next weekend at their new home at 21 Portland St. (Also they hit hit their Kickstarter goal) 

Eunoia Lifestyle Shop is closing their storefront on Almon Street, to focus on their event planning and balloon business Beautiful Creations

 

Hodge Podge

There will be no update next week. Next Sunday is my big 50th and I will be in Montreal enjoying the food with family and selfishly taking time for me.
