JYSK Closing, Chocolate Restaurant, New Stores for Halifax Shopping Centre

Halifax Shopping Centre has quite a few adds RW&Co, Payless, Crescent Jewellers, and Charm Diamond have all opened new stores. There is also an Hakim Optical on its way (and one for Mic Mac too)

The Pannizza at the airport opens next week (I think I missed mentioning that the A&W opened a while back )

Looks like “Brown Hound Pub” looking to open on Agricola where Agora/Haligonian Cafe was.

Montreal based chain Cacao 70 Eatery/Dip Shop coming to Historic Properties this Spring.

 has a popup at for the next six weeks at the corner of Portland and Wentworth, Downtown Dartmouth

Giggles Pizza on Main at the Forest Hills extension is now open.

St. Louis Bar and Grill at Downsview in Sackville opens on Monday

Cole’s Family Restaurant on Cole Harbour Rd has closed.

The Hallmark Store in Dartmouth Crossing is closing.


Also in Dartmouth Crossing, the only JYSK in Atlantic Canada is closing on the 17th.

Entity Boardshop on Blowers is having a store closing sale.

Craft season continues the big list is here, but highlights are the Halifax Crafters at Olympic Centre and Gothic Little Christmas at the Forum

Also, Spring Garden area merchants for the next 2 Fridays will have Shopping Under Stars a great time to save at selection of local shops!

Food Network shows The Baker Sisters was in town in August and now the episodes with Halifax content are airing.  Episode 11 features Barrington St’s The Old Apothecary and Ep 12 features Sweet Hereafter on Quinpool. They are both available now online here. Next Friday night Ep 13 with Bayers Lake’s Susie’s Shortbreads will premiere.
