The Clyde St NSLC closed yesterday for good; it was the last of the old-style stores in town. Customer can now be serviced by the NSLC Express which opened in the front of Park Lane, The Port a couple of blocks away and a new full sized store will be opening in the parking lot of the Queen St Sobeys in June

Two interesting out of town mall things:
Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga now offers a 3100 sq ft space in the mall for events, meetings or pop-up shops for FREE
Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket is taking 40k sqft of an empty Target and turning it into a 25 vendor hybrid of a food court and farmers market.

The Lunenburg Makery has moved to beautiful new larger space beside their original space on Lincoln St

Valley Drive-in opens this weekend. If you never have, it’s a great community run old-fashioned drive-in in Coldbrook complete with Lions Club using the profits in the community.

misc

Bud the Spud rolled out yesterday to kick off its 40th summer!

I should just add a new section called Superstore because I have few related SS things. Like this less than comforting sign at Portland St.

Their debit/credit system went offline last Sunday fro over 12 hours.
And Loblaws met with the province this week to lobby for them to start selling wine in stores. After recent rollouts in Ontario and New Brunswick.

And amazingly a woman who didn’t know she was pregnant got a surprise when she delivered a baby in the restroom at the Bayers Lake Superstore this week.
