Finbar’s in Bedford is closed fo most of October as they undergo a renovation.

The Darkside Cafe in Dartmouth has closed, they have amassed $47K in fines from the municipality for operating a cafe in the wrong zone. There will be a hearing in January where the fines are expected to be reduced.

The first piece of the frame is up on the new IKEA in Dartmouth. (projected to be open within a year) In The meantime, the IKEA is trying to figure out the instructions.

Also in Dartmouth Crossing, they started putting fencing around the property beside Tims/McDs to build a Mariott Courtyard/Residence Inn

The Foggy Goggle is leaving Argyle, for Gottingen. They have purchased the building between EDNA and the new LF Bakery.  They have stated this is just a great opportunity for them and not in response to the Nova Centre.

Food wagon, Asado Wood Fired Grill will be the new kitchen for Bearly’s starting this week. I am a big fan of their chicken.

Chi Bistro on Charles St has closed. Signage is gone, and windows papered up.

The new sushi spot Roll It Up is now open at 1991 Brunswick. They even have a Hockey Puck Roll to pay tribute to their nearby neighbours.

The Gap Outlet in Dartmouth Crossing is now open, the Guess outlet next door to it will be open in a couple of weeks.

NewLeaf airlines are adding two new routes from Halifax next month, one way Winnipeg $179, Abbotsford $199. Though there are lots of $ addons on NewLeaf

Bass Pro Shops has purchased Cabela’s and plans to operate both brands; no impact is expected to the new Dartmouth Crossing Cabela’s next fall.

Japanese retailer MUJI opens their 3rd Canadian (Toronto area) store this week.But they say they are looking to open up to 20 news stores in Canada by 2020.Halifax typically gets a store when an international retailer gets in the 15 store range in Canada.So maybe MUJI is on its way.
